THE DIASPORA FLEET

This is a fractional ownership model for vehicles. Members benefit by accessing quality well maintained cars to use while in the country. Some people refer to it as Co-Owned Vehicles and below are the advantages:

1. It is highly cost effective. Instead of investing 100% for an asset you will use only one or two months in a year. You will invest only a fraction of the entire value of the asset. Take for example a Landcruiser Prado that can cost about 60,000USDS. Four people will each pay 15000USDs but each can access the vehicle for at least sixty days per year.

2. It Is Cheaper Than Ordinary Car Rentals. As a virtual co-owner of the vehicle. You don't pay rental rates. You only pay a nominal maintenance and insurance fee and a projected depreciation at the end of the term. All these are clearly defined for each vehicle model.

3. Peace Of Mind. Buying a high value asset then leave it with people can be a daunting level of trust. They may take care of it or otherwise. Under Maridady Diaspora SUVS, every person using the vehicle has paid a fraction of it. This increases their sense of ownership and responsibility as they could also lose from their own carelessness. Maridady Motors Ltd as the stewards and managers will ensure the vehicles are well maintained.

4. Guaranteed Access. The ratio between members and cars will be 1:3 for high value cars and 1;6 for low value cars. This ratio will ensure that each party can access a vehicle by giving only 60 days notice.

5. Emergency Vehicle Access. Real Emergencies do happen requiring one to travel on short notice. Our members will be met by vehicles to use and run around during real predefined emergencies like a death.

6. Transferrable Value. To Own Ones Car. A member of the MDS can later use the residual of the deposit paid to join the club as a deposit towards owning their own vehicle.

7. Easy Entry, Stay And Exit. It shall be easy to join, stay and exit from the MDS. Each contract will be twenty four months after which a member can request to exit and get a refund of their residual deposit.

8. Simple, Transparent Contracts. Our contracts are simple, honest and transparent. No hidden charges or clauses.

9. Family Friendly. This service respects the fact that traveling to Kenya with a family member then not have access to a good reliable vehicle can be stressing and risky. Maridady Diaspora SUVS will seek to fill this huge gap.

10. Flexible Payment Plan. You don't have to pay upfront for your desired membership. You can pay in Instalments of up to 10 months until you finish paying. You will however get access of a vehicle once the agreed fractional subscription amount is paid up.

TRANSPARENT CHARGES

Individuals joining this model must understand that it's simply like co-owning a vehicle with others and sharing all the costs of the car.

1. Fractional Subscription Amount. This is the one off amount you pay in advance to subscribe to a certain category of vehicles. It represents atleast 20-30% of the value of the vehicle.

2. Annual Maintenance & Insurance Fees. This nominal fee will be payable by all the members every year and will be used to service, insure and maintain the fleet. Each category of vehicles will have its own predefined annual maintenance fees.

3. Fleet Depreciation. This is paid at exit by all members and is deducted from the Fractional Subscription Amount Before Refund. This is the factored and shared depreciation of the original value of the vehicle. Members can also opt for a pay as you use depreciation model where they will pay for usage of cars as and when they use them. Again this is a predefined cost cost for each category of vehicles.

4. Chauffeur Fees. Maridady Motors Ltd will have a shortlisted number of drivers that those desiring to have drivers can use and pay for.
